It doesn’t stick on EVERY surface but it sticks on enough of them. It also allows your young baby to comprehend that the toys aren’t meant for throwing on the floor (because they shouldn’t be able to if this works on that particular surface you’re using it on). We used it out at restaurants when Tess was younger and didn’t go anywhere without it.
